An engine-out service was performed by Gran Turismo of Los Angeles, California, in August 2022 and included the replacement of the timing belt, seal rings, thermostat, water pump, fuel filter, accessory belts, and camshaft gaskets in addition to converting the air conditioning system to R134a. "...When the body was ready, the GTV went back to Filippo's shop, and they removed the suspension, completely upgrading it with modern bushings, and lowered the car about an inch below European spec. All the running gear and rear-end metal was powder coated, as were the signature Alfa Cromodora Turbina wheels.
Filippo also tore the engine down for a performance rebuild, with new bottom end bearings and balancing. For the top end, they machined the head, installed larger valves and polished the ports."
